Australia MedicAlert® Foundation
Non Profit Organisation
The Australia Medic Alert Foundation hereby records its sadness at the death of director John G. Hogarth PhD on 27th January 2007 and expresses
its deep appreciation of the many years of dedicated service given with enthusiasm, care and vision. His service to the MedicAlert® mission
evidenced a commitment of service to his fellow beings that was unlimited in scope with total support to his fellow directors, and the MedicAlert® staff.
The volunteers, members, staff and directors of the Foundation hereby express their condolences to his wife Kay and his family with deep appreciation
of John's work for a common cause.
On Monday 27th November 2006 our National Chairman Mr. Murray Bray, OAM was presented with the Australia Medic Alert Foundation's highest distinguished honour
– The Collins Factor Medallion – in recognition of 25 years of volunteer service at the highest level. Murray is a very unassuming, humble, gentle man in
the true sense of the word who has received numerous awards throughout his distinguished career and we are extremely proud to be able to present this very much
deserved, yet never sought after acknowledgement. The Collins Factor Medallion epitomises the humanitarian values to serve to sustain the highest priority of all – life itself.
In recognition of MedicAlert's Founder – Dr. Marion C. Collins - “The Collins Factor” phrase was globally coined by Chairman Bray as he constantly reminds all those serving
MedicAlert® throughout the world why we exist and how we must ensure the principles of protecting and saving lives is our core primary focus in all our thoughts, deeds and actions.
Murray Bray is a leader amongst leaders – everyone at the Australia Medic Alert Foundation holds him in the highest regard and sincerely appreciates and acknowledges his experience,
unconditional dedication and human spirit. We are proud to have him as our Chairman leading this tremendous non-profit, life saving organisation.
To serve an organisation with passion, vision and a sense of personal pride is an achievement in itself, but to unselfishly give 25 years as a volunteer is an example of
someone who constantly leads by example and puts the needs of others before is own. Chairman Bray has shown that location is no obstacle when the heart is willing to give.
He travels over hundreds of thousands of miles every year, either by road or air to fulfil his leadership commitments both nationally and internationally. In additional to being our
National Chairman he sits on the MedicAlert Foundation International Board as a Director and has the onerous responsibility as its Audit Committee Chairman.
Chairman Bray is a unique individual who constantly strives to make a difference in our world. His attention to details is flawless and whilst many have tried to emulate,
no one will ever replicate his sense of human spirit and genuine care for people. He is a man by which all should be reconciled.
